Dr. Houser is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Originally from Paducah, Kentucky, Dr. Houser graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Murray State University and earned his medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 1987.
Dr. Houser completed his residency in Psychiatry and his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He is board certified in Adult, Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.
Dr. Houser has provided exceptional psychiatric care in various clinical settings since he arrived in Knoxville in July 1992. He treats clients with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, ADHD and addiction/substance abuse. He is proud to serve his community as a reputable and well respected physician.
Dee is an ANCC board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. With nearly 20 years of healthcare experience in different capacities such as social work, counseling and nursing, she values patients' needs and believes that active listening is a key component in treatment.
She believes that both communication and trust are integral in developing a therapeutic relationship. Dee also considers therapy to be an essential element of treatment when indicated.
Dee provides psychiatric medication management services for ages 18-65 years old; however, she particularly enjoys helping young adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, OCD, bipolar disorder and ADHD. Dee is an experienced provider with a proven track record of results and symptom remission. She believes in the strength of her patients and will support you in your journey! She is compassionate and ready to listen in order to help you get started on your path to healing and achieving your mental health goals.
